Regulation of Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) 5,8GHz Has Been Release

I would like to inform you that new regulation of Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) 5,8GHz has been release few days ago. Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) 5,8GHz approval will be based on Indonesia’s standards: KEPDIRJEN No. 233/DIRJEN/2010.

The telecommunications equipment that will used to receive and send digital signals which work on 5,725-5,825 GHz frequency which is used for the purposes of Point to Point (PTP), Point to Multiplepoint (PTMP), Mesh and any Point to Multiplepoints.

for the subscriber station equipment can work in dual mode at 2,4 and 5,8 GHz radio frequency, but for base station equipment is only allowed to work on the 5.8 GHz radio frequency

Technical requirements in this regulation is accommodate with the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n standard. For exception Wimax standard (IEEE 802.16).

Technical Requirements:

• Frequency Range : 5.725 – 5.825MHz
• Modulation Type : FSK/BPSK/QPSK/QAM/CCK
• Access Method : TDMA/FDMA/CDMA/CSMA-CA
