Approval Test Standard for Bluetooth

Actually most of approval testing standard for Bluetooth devices almost same as other country, Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances (using short-wavelength UHF radio waves in the ISM band from 2.4 to 2.485 GHz from fixed and mobile devices, and building personal area networks (PANs) as explained on Wikipedia.

Today, We would like to inform you the the approval testing standard for Bluetooth products in Indonesia. Approval test standard for bluetooth certifications would be based on our Government regulation number 09/DIRJEN/2004 and frequency allocation is 2.4 – 2.4835 GHz, Effective Radiated Power : < -10 dBm (100 mW) EIRP and the spurious emission refer to ETSI 300 328

It is useful information if you are going to apply for SDPPI approvals of Bluetooth product, you need to know the approval test standard first to ensure your product comply with regulation requirement and it will help you to prepare the samples in advance before to star the project

For obtaining SDPPI certification you have to provide 2 units sample for testing purpose and both samples should be for conducted test mode including test software and you have to provide all of supporting equipment (examples: power source) for each unit.

Just for your information, There are 2 laboratories only which is capable (legitimated by the regulation) to execute the testing process.

Update Bluetooth Regulation

Update: new SRD Standard in Indonesia has been officially issued by SDPPI through their official announcement on July 30th 2019.

This new regulation’s called PERDIRJEN POSTEL NOMOR 161 TAHUN 2019 and concerning about “Technical Requirements of Short Range Device Telecommunication”.
