Indonesia Opens Public Consultation for ICT Products that are Required to Meet Technical Standards

The Ministry of Communications and Digital (KOMDIGI) of Indonesia plans to open a public consultation for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) products that are required to meet technical standards for Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure (DJID) certification.

The plan for ICT products that are required to meet technical standards is urgently needed by Indonesia to implement the mandate of Article 33 of the Minister of Communication and Informatics Regulation No. 3 Year 2024 on Certification of Telecommunication Equipment and/or Telecommunication Devices.

Public consultation for ICT products that are required to meet technical standards requires public participation. This needs to be done following the mandate of Article 46 of Law Number 30 of 2014 concerning Government Administration, where government agencies provide socialization to interested parties before stipulating decisions.
