PERMEN No. 3 Tahun 2024 which explains the label requirements for Indonesia DJID certification is explained in CHAPTER V about Labeling of Telecommunication Equipment and/or Telecommunication Devices, precisely in articles 25 – 28:

Article 25

  1. The Certificate Holder is obliged to put a label on the Telecommunications tools and/or telecommunications devices for which the Certificate has been issued as intended in Article 15.
  2. The label as intended in paragraph (1) displays:
    • a. Certificate number and PLG ID;
    • b. QR Code; And
    • c. warning signs.
  3. The QR Code as intended in paragraph (2) letter b contains at least the following information:
    • a. certificate number;
    • b. PLG ID;
    • c. brand of Telecommunications tools and/or telecommunications devices;
    • d. Type of Telecommunications tools and/or telecommunications devices; And
    • e. other data elements listed in the Certificate.
  4. The warning sign as intended in paragraph (2) letter c contains information regarding the prohibition on making changes to specifications that could cause physical and/or electromagnetic disturbances to the surrounding environment.

Article 26

  1. Installation of labels as intended in Article 25 paragraph (1) is carried out on every:
    • a. Telecommunications tools and/or telecommunications devices; And
    • b. packaging or wrapping of Telecommunications tools and/or telecommunications devices.
  2. If the size of the Telecommunications tools and/or telecommunications devices is too small so that it is not possible to attach a label as intended in paragraph (1) letter a, the label can be installed only on the packaging or wrapping of the Telecommunications tools and/or telecommunications devices.
  3. Installation of labels as intended in paragraph (1) by:
    • a. embossed, debossed, or printed;
    • b. affixed or attached; or
    • c. digital on Telecommunications tools and/or telecommunications devices.

Article 27

The label as intended in Article 25 paragraph (2) is made in accordance with the format as stated in the Attachment which is an inseparable part of this Ministerial Regulation.

Article 28

  1. The Certificate Owner is obliged to report proof of making the label as intended in Article 25 paragraph (2) to the Director General no later than 30 (thirty) days after the Certificate is issued.
  2. The report as intended in paragraph (1) is submitted through the Directorate General’s Certification Service Facility by uploading a photo of the Telecommunications tools and/or telecommunications devices that have been labeled.

From the explanation of the regulations above, then the ICT product that has been certified by DJID is mandatory to affix DJID labels on the product and packaging. This label consists of three components, which are the certificate number and PLG ID, QR Code, and Warning Sign.

Here is a detailed explanation of the DJID label component:

  1. Certificate Number and PLG ID: On the DJID certificate, there is information on the certificate number and PLG ID that needs to be included on the label.
  2. QR Code: Once the certificate is issued you can download the QR code on the DJID website.
  3. Warning Signs: Regarding warning signs, DJID does not provide high-resolution, AI, or Vector images of warning signs. So the warning sign can be cropped from the regulations.

Label Application Report

Referring to Article 26, applicants are required to report the label application by uploading label photos to the DJID website after the Certificate Number and PLG ID, QR code, and Warning Signs, are affixed to the product and/or packaging.

To upload the label application report, it is necessary to take 2 photos, the first is a close-up photo of the label showing the detailed image of the label and the second is a photo of the packaging or device showing the location of the label application. Below is an example of the photos.

This report on label application by uploading photos to the DJID website is given 30 working days from the date of certificate issuance. 

The Sanction

If the applicant has not uploaded a photo of the label application report on the DJID website after 30 working days, the applicant will receive a first notification letter.

Within 14 working days of the first notification letter, the applicant will receive a second notification letter. In the next 14 working days after the 2nd notification letter, the applicant will get the last notification letter, which means the applicant will be sanctioned.
