Malaysia is one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia. With the title of world’s 34th-largest economy in the world, the country is a promising market for ICT product manufacturers. To filter the ICT products that come to the Malaysian market, the government applies a compliance scheme with SIRIM as the authority.
SIRIM stands for “Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia”. This is an organization under the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Malaysia that’s responsible for product standards and the advancement of technology. Compliance with the SIRIM standard can be proven by obtaining a “SIRIM certificate”.
Obtaining a SIRIM certification can be challenging. While it accepts foreign test reports based on international standards like CE or FCC, there are times when SIRIM requires additional local tests, especially if the foreign reports do not meet their specific criteria. However, with extensive experience, expertise, and global connections in the certification field, Dimulti Indonesia is prepared to assist you in navigating the complexities of the SIRIM certification process, eliminating any obstacles, and ensuring you receive the certificate by your target date.
