Starting the first Friday in July, Dimulti Music, as a hip hop producer, released its fifth single, Modern Saints by Tovan Alldino.
Tovan, as a Co-Founder of Dimulti Music, still consistently releases singles every week. Modern Saints by Tovan starts the first week of July. Previously, since the beginning of June, there have been four singles released, namely Swim in the Dark, Midnight Drive, Ego Dance, and Read Me Wrong.
Still bleak, Modern Saints by Tovan is like a reflection in broad daylight, on a Friday sermon with the theme of “seeing people online”.

The song is like an ode to the people who are immersed in cyberspace while doing things they don’t realize they are doing.
Modern Saints by Tovan gives us a reflection on what it means to be human in a time where truth becomes a trend, pain becomes money, and having followers seems like a goal.
Through Modern Saints, Tovan provides a mirror for us to reflect on how we live today in an impermanent digital world.
If you are at 3 am each morning in front of a screen and see how people’s lives are wrapped in pleasures, and you can only daydream in a room full of emptiness, listen to this song!
It’s not a judgment, as Tovan says he’s experienced the same thing, being lost in cyberspace. “I’m not judging, because I’ve been there too. Caught between praying with my thumb and trying to hear God through the silence,” Tovan said in his writing.
“God, did You see us when we lied? / God, did You watch when we just scrolled by? / God, did You cry when we sold our pain? / God, were You there when we called it fame?“
“God, do You hear through this digital rain? / God, did You fade when we traded Your name? / God, are we lost or just tryna survive? / God, are we dead or just stuck alive?“
These are two fragments of Modern Saints song lyrics by Tovan at the end of the song that conclude Tovan’s short sermon on Friday.
According to Tovan, the lines are a cry from the midst of noise, digital rain is a constant stream, notifications, messages, content, noise on top of noise, and he tried to ask God.
“And I wonder, can God hear us through all that noise? Or do we lose Him when we start using His name for influence, for image, for empty rituals?” Tovan revealed with a question.
So, if you feel like you’re drifting in a digital storm, rest assured, you’re not alone. Let’s celebrate by listening to Modern Saints by Tovan.
Stay tuned for more songs from Tovan every week, with themes that you might relate to.
