Japan Updates 433 MHz Regulations for TPMS and RKE Systems
Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has updated its Radio Equipment Regulations, expanding the 433 MHz frequency band for Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and Remote Keyless Entry systems. While existing Giteki approvals remain valid, automotive manufacturers must seek new certification if product modifications or firmware updates alter radio operations or frequency ranges.
