What is a Semi Overflow Swimming Pool?

A semi overflow swimming pool is a hybrid between a traditional skimmer pool and a full overflow pool.
It combines elements of both systems to create a visually appealing and efficient swimming experience.
A key feature of a semi overflow pool is a partial overflow, which is unlike a full overflow where the water spills over the entire parameter, a semi overflow pool usually has an overflow section only on one or more sides.
There are few advantages of the semi overflow pool, such as:
- Aesthetic Appeal: The semi overflow pool offers a modern and luxurious look just like a full overflow one.
- Water Quality: And because the water is constantly circulated, this will improve the quality of your pool.
- Cost Effective: The semi overflow pool is generally cheaper unlike the full overflow one, but you can also get the benefits of the full overflow pool with this design.

Process of Making Semi Overflow Pool at Dimulti
1. Designing Process

The first step is to design the pool. At dimulti, we will give you a design that is not only aesthetically appealing, but also practical.
We will give you a 3D rendition of your pool and also a 2D blueprint to further understand the size and the measurements of your pool.
2. Bouwplank Installation

The first one is to install the bouwplank. The bouwplanks are temporary structures used to support the concrete during the construction of a swimming pool. They provide the shape and dimensions of the pool.
This will make it easier for the next step which is the digging process.
3. Digging Process

The next one is to dig the area that is about to be constructed.
This digging process will then simultaneously proceed with the installation of the pool foundation, and formwork.
4. Concrete Casting Process

After the digging process and formwork has been installed, the next step is to cast the concrete into an already existing hole.
We use a high quality concrete with a minimum of K300 flooring quality or equivalent with that.
5. Waterproofing Process

The next step of making a semi overflow swimming pool is to apply the waterproofing agent into an already dried out concrete.
This step is very crucial to ensure that there’s no leakage in your swimming pool. As a leakage in your pool will be a catastrophic disaster.
6. Tiles Installation Process

After the waterproofing has already been done, the next step is to install the tiles material to make the swimming pool aesthetically wonderful.
In this step, we use mosaic flooring as per our client’s request. The mosaic tile will provide an aesthetically beautiful design that goes well with the surrounding areas vibe.
7. Finishing Touch

The finishing touch will include a water circulation system, lamps installation, pumps installation, stairs installation, and many others.
