The Label Requirements for Thailand NBTC Certification

Label requirements for Thailand NBTC certification must be installed after a product has gone through the type approval process. One of the legal references for this requirement is the NBTC Announcement Volume 133, Special Chapter 178.
The announcement states that suppliers are required to display certification marks for type-approved telecommunications equipment in accordance with the specified format. The NBTC label format is determined based on the class of equipment, namely Class A, Class B, and Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity (SDoC).
Each equipment class has its own label format. The following are the three label formats based on each equipment class.
Class A equipment
For class A equipment, here is the conformity mark format:

Where YYYYYY is the registration number (6 digits), ZZ is the year of registration (last 2 digits of the year), and XXXX is the supplier code (4 digits)
Class B Equipment
For class B equipment, here is the conformity mark format:

Where YYYYYY is the registration number (6 digits), ZZ is the year of registration (last 2 digits of the year), and XXXX is the supplier code (4 digits)
Class A and Class B labels must be affixed to the surface of the product in a place that is easily visible and not easily removed. If the product is too small, it is permissible to affix the label to the packaging or user manual.
SDoC product
For the case of SDoC, the supplier is also mandatory to affix labels stating that the product has complied with certain Thai standards. The wording can follow the following format:

“เครื่องโทรคมนาคมและอุปกรณ์นี้มีความสอดคล้องตามมาตรฐานหรือข้อกำหนดทางเทคนิค ของ กสทช.”
Translation: This telecommunication equipment complies with NBTC’s standard or technical requirements.
This statement must be affixed to the user manual or any other supplementary documents that accompany the product, such as the specification sheet or product compliance document.
Notice label
In addition to the three label formats above, suppliers are also required to affix a notice label. There are two types of notice labels from the NBTC Office, as follows:
- Class A and Class B: Require a license type.
- SDoC: Exempted license type.
Warning labels must be affixed to the user manual, packaging, or added as an additional sheet inside the packaging. The size of the warning label is 5 cm x 5 cm, and the warning sign format is as follows:

Conclusion
Label requirements for Thailand NBTC certification must be applied. Class A and Class B labels must be affixed to the surface of the product in an easily visible location, cannot be easily removed, and are readily accessible.
For SDoC, it is also mandatory to affix a label stating that the product complies with certain Thai standards.
