The T-Rex is built with 47mm form factor with 13.5 mm thickness. Yes, the watch seems a little chunky at first. But, as the time goes by, you will get used to this.

Although it looks rough and tumble with 58g weight including the strap and polymer case, the watch is still felt very light to wear. It is almost like a toy, at first you will get distract on the size but after trying it, it’s very light anyway.

As the Huami said, T-Rex is built to military standards. It’s proven by 12 Military Grade Certifications that the watch has. With this certification, it means that the watch is resistant to Harsh Environments.

As stated by Amazfit in its official website, T-Rex can survive in 70 degree Celsius of hot temperature, minus forty degree Celsius of cold, 240 h humidity resistance, and 96 h salt spray resistance.

Moreover, it has a waterproof, so you can take the watch to swim or dive up to 50 meters’ depth.

There are five different color you can choose; gun grey, rock black, camo green, khaki, and army green. The watch also come with same silicone watch strap that is very soft and extremely stretchy. It feels fine to wear day and night, even during sweaty workouts.

On the watch face, T-Rex has a 1.3-inch, 360 x 360 resolution AMOLED touchscreen which offers the same size and resolution as Samsung Galaxy Watch.

This means that you’re getting a similar quality display on a watch that costs around half the price. With AMOLED display, all notification will be viewable easily with bright and vivid color.

Amazfit T-Rex has pretty much everything inside. It has built-in GPS, a heart rate monitor, sensors to track activities indoors along with additional outdoor metrics. And as mentioned earlier, there’s swim tracking support too, which is not many smartwatch product has this ability.

Moreover, Huami offered 14 different modes include like running, cycling, pool swimming, and indoor cycling. For the outdoor activity the Amazit T-Rex covers hiking, skiing, open water swimming, and tracking triathlons.

For the battery life the Huami provide promising battery with 390 mAh capacity. That should deliver 20 days of life in what Huami calls ‘Daily’ mode, when heart rate monitoring is set to always on.

In ‘Basic’ watch mode, when the watch is not being connected to a phone via Bluetooth, battery will last for 66 days long. When you’re continuously using GPS to track activities, it should manage 20 hours.
