Brazil ANATEL Launches CERTIFICA Platform for Telecom Type Approvals

Brazil's telecommunications agency, ANATEL, is launching CERTIFICA to replace the SCH platform for product certification and homologation. Effective September 8, 2026, the new integrated system makes SEI-ANATEL registration and an Electronic Power of Attorney mandatory for local representatives. Manufacturers and importers must complete these regulatory requirements to avoid severe delays in approval processes.

Brazil’s New 6 GHz Wi-Fi Rules: ANATEL Spectrum Changes & Compliance

Brazil’s ANATEL has issued Act No. 10,400/2026, updating 6 GHz Wi-Fi regulations by narrowing the authorized frequency range to 5925–6425 MHz. The remaining spectrum will be reserved for cellular services, including 5G-Advanced and 6G networks. Device manufacturers and importers must ensure compliance before these requirements officially take effect on March 1, 2027.
